The delectable flavor of our cheeses is derived from fresh cows milk collected daily from the lush, high savanna of Cundinamarca, Colombia, South America. The Italian cheese making tradition, introduced to Colombia in 1923 by the Del Vecchio family, continues to the present day and is reflected in the unique character of the special, limited production cheeses produced by the family-owned business in Bogotá.

Del Vecchio cheeses are vacuum packed using high barrier materials that inhibit the development of bacteria and that eliminate external contamination. The recently installed high quality packaging system conserves the moisture, texture, and weight of our products, guaranteeing their very high quality for weeks and months and despite long distance transport.

Fresh Cheese
A unique Mozzarella type stretched curd cheese with a firm, but soft and tender texture, this cheese is low in fat and salt, and melts beautifully when warmed. It is ideal accompanied by bread, crackers, toast, fruit salads or vegetables and drinks of all kinds.

Queso Fresco
Un queso tipo Mozzarella de pasta hilada, tiene la textura suave, tierna, es bajo en grasa y sal, y tiene un sabor especial. Este queso se estira cuando se calienta, y es ideal para consumir a cualquier hora y en cualquier ocasión. Se puede acompañar el pan, galletas, tostadas, ensaladas de frutas o vegetales y diversidad de bebidas.

Pear/Pera (named originally for its shape)

This delicious cheese has excellent properties when melted and is ideal with baguettes, crackers, or toast. It comes in a variety of different sizes that can be served according to the needs of the occasion.

Se caracteriza por su facilidad de fundido. Ideal para acompañar con pan, galletas o tostadas. Viene en varios tamaños que se pueden servir de acuerdo con las necesidades de la ocasión.

Cheese Braid/Trenza

With the same excellent taste and texture of all our fresh stretched braid curd type cheese, this “twist” on its presentation gives an elegant touch to that special occasion. Low in fats and salt, with the same unique taste and texture, it is a fine addition to any table, whether a formal reception or at home with family. It can be served in combination with fruit salad and vegetable plates.

Perita

Cheese Blocks/Bloques
